My great (times 8) grandparents
So, I have been setting up this cool online genealogy database for my web site and have been inputting my family tree. Well thanks to my grandfather’s research, I know who my great great great great great great great great grandparents are:
Henry Detcheverry was born in 1686 in Bayonne, Gascony, France, and Marie DeLacroix was born in 1688, also in Bayonne.
I don’t have the birthdates of my other set of great (x8) grandparents, but I do have their birthplaces: Rose Henry (Henri), born in Acadie (I am assuming that is in Canada); and Noel Pinet, born in Quebec, Canada. Their daughter Marie Pinet was born in 1722, so they were probably born right at the end of the 1600s too.
How cool is that, to know the names and birthplaces of your distant relatives, who were born in the late 1600s!!
Anyway, here is a partial list of all of the last names that are part of me. Of course there are many others that may never be known. But this whole project is really motivating me to start researching.
